Over the years, the content of my work has included images associated with places that are special to me, sociopolitical issues, as well as the expressive nature of space, texture, and color. However, what I find most satisfying is creating images related to the shoreline and the life forms nearby. I have traveled to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for many years, also to Cape Cod and the Rhode Island shoreline. These rich experiences have been a major inspiration for my ocean and beach theme works.
I take many photographs of the shorelines I visit. Using polyester litho plates, elements of these photos are used in many of my ocean/beach theme monoprints. My prints evolve gradually, requiring many passes through the press.
